Although Salley’s population has dwindled over the years, its nearly abandoned main strip still contains a sentiment of undeniable charm. Off to the side of the tiny town center looming in the woods is a massive, long-abandoned cotton gin.

Its old tin roof can be seen poking through the tall trees, and the entry is still visible on the left-hand side of the building. The rusty factory is a relic of the past with its old-school mechanics still on full display. The history of the factory is unknown. Considering its location in such a tiny, tucked-away town, its story likely lives only among an older generation of Salley residents.

As of an unknown date, a significant portion of the Mill has collapsed
