About

Lions, and Tigers, and Bears...oh my!

Step off the yellow brick road sidewalk in the village of Chittenango, and into the world of OZ. This storefront museum is a mix between a cheeky roadside attraction and a full fledged historical Museum.

Everything you can imagine from the world of OZ is here, and it is located in the village of Chittenango, NY where author L. Frank Baum was born in 1856.

This store front museum features collectibles and costumes from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, Return to Oz, After the Wizard, OzLand, Oz The Great & Powerful, The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, Wizard of Oz on Ice,  Oz Kids cartoons, Journey Back to Oz, and WICKED. And it features unique items you may not have ever heard of like teh munchkin headpieces from the Broadway show By Jeeves, or the ruby slippers from the musical Chasing Rainbows.

There are books and toys and collectibles as well, everything you would imagine a museum would have.

The gift shop features all sorts of Oz related goodies, from socks to ornaments to puzzles and of course magnets, mugs, and keychains!

Know Before You Go

Free parking is located at the end of the building or across the street at the municipal lot.

They have a bike rack out front in the summer.

Admission (as of September 2025) is $12 per person (kids 10 & under are free)- and includes a full tour or the option to go through on your own. There are QR codes at several exhibits that play a short video and they have QR codes with American Sign Language videos as well.

They are open 10 am - 5pm Wednesday - Sunday.

Plan on spending 1-1.5 hours. They have a lot to look at. All one floor- floors are uneven as it is an old building. There is one restroom.

The town has yellow brick road sidewalks - so that is fun as well.
