In 1884, this was the start of what would have been a railroad track through the mountain. Now it is a large cave opening in the mountain with a historic plaque.
Know Before You Go
The cave and historic marker are a few kilometers up an unmaintained, gated road, with parking area at the trailhead.
The trail up has ice during winter, so be careful.
