Donner Max Mario

Having a good and recognizable logo is very important for a company, as it can turn your business from a faceless entity to a household name. We all know and love the big ears of Mickey Mouse, the Starbucks mermaid swimming in green, and the big McDonald's M. Companies sometimes pay massive amounts of money to design their logo, and therefore it is not very surprising that they thwart any attempt at copying it. However, some smaller local businesses sometimes still try to ride on the fame of larger household names, and Donner Max is a great example of that. 

Apart from the logo, it's an ordinary run-of-the-mill Kebab shop, but what makes it popular amongst locals and tourists alike is its mascot that seems to very closely resemble a certain Italian plumber. The locals joke that Mario came to Enschede for a witness protection program, starting a new life as a kebab salesman. Perhaps fleeing the constant tyranny of Bowser?
