Located on a back road along eastern Long Island is a park dedicated to the men and women of the Grumman Aerospace Corporation, who constructed 712 of these mighty planes. Long Island is known as the cradle of aviation and is home to many aerial firsts. Many aircraft companies such as Grumman, Republic, and Brewster called the island home. 

The Grumman Memorial Park is located in Calverton on Route 25, on the site of the former Grumman Aerospace Flight Test Facility. The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was also widely featured in the movie Top GunThe Tomcat on display at the park is an actual jet and not a replica. According to information at the park, the Tomcat displayed was the 331st produced.
