This beautiful temple is located atop a hill overlooking the city of Guwahati. They host musical events and special recitals, dances, meditation courses etc. The place itself is set aside in lush gardens and peace and tranquility seeps out.
It is quite easy to just take a rickshaw there and walk the rest of the way up the steep hill from the gate. Especially if there is a music performance the guards are more than happy to let you in.
When you have experienced the incessant noise and pollution of downtown Guwahati, this honestly feels like escaping to a retreat even if it is for a few hours.
