Botanical garden in Èze, France located on the site of an old medieval fortress that is on a terraced hillside in the French Riviera. You stroll through the garden admiring the wonderful species of flowers and plants along with the whimsical animal sculptures while having the Mediterranean Sea as your backdrop. It could not be any more beautiful or enchanting!
The garden also incorporates the viewing deck on the old fortress, offering a 360 degree view of the Mediterranean and the surrounding hills and villages.
Know Before You Go
Definitely buy tickets ahead of time in high season and also enjoy time in the city of Èze. It is a beautiful and quaint little town and the people are lovely! Official parking is located a few kilometers up the hill with a shuttle bus running between it and the village. Closer parking is available, but often overcrowded.
The 602 bus that runs between Nice Vauban and Monaco stops at Èze Village, as does the 82 from Nice Vauban.
Not that the train station for Èze is not in the same part of the village, but in the seaside quarter, some 400 meters below the town. The path is beautiful but exhausting, there is an infequent bus conecting the two.
