About
Hidden away in the heart of the village, the Jardin d'Éguilles is an artist's garden.
Over an area of 950 m2, abundant and varied vegetation combines with the works of Max Sauze, a contemporary artist, to create scenes composed in a rigorously organized disorder: "Millet's Angelus", "The Squirrel's Library", "The Brodules", "The Wall of Books", "The Bascine", "The Blue Trees", "The Snail-Type Flowers".
In this abundant plant world, the sculptures, some one hundred in number, sometimes borrow elements from nature. They are "shown and hidden". In this way, the marriage between the natural and the artificial has been refined over the years, creating a poetic space in the heart of the village.
