You wind your way through low mountain roads to start your hike out of the towns of either Huty (shorter hike) or Prosiek (complete trail), or drive and park in the Kvacianska Valley. The hike is a butt burner on the way up, then you hike down into a valley to get to the actual mill.
There are goats (mostly friendly, don't mind the horns) and a cat (will try and steal your sandwich) and it is pretty much self guided.
There is a donation box and a window with small souvenirs you can buy. It's so worth the hike!
Know Before You Go
It's closed on Mondays, but open 9-5 the rest of the week. Winter hours might be different if they are open during that time at all. Parking in the valley location, there is a small restaurant and bathrooms as well as souvenirs for sale.
