Synchronicity Space

"We are many things," this gallery cryptically claims online.

But then they qualify, "Synchronicity is an art gallery but in practice it is so much more." And by that they mean a dazzling much more, for its every surface is consistently graced with endlessly imaginative paintings, sculptures, installations, zine artwork, and anything so combustively creative that the walls barely seem, at times, to contain it. The space is also used for music shows, performance art, film screenings, and parties.

One of the joys – and defining factors – of this wacky joint is that it regularly reinvents its tiny interior, and often its exterior, to complement its programming. For however ephemeral the content, it can't be said that what the gallery presents isn't just as charismatic in depth as it is breadth. A stimulating environment to say the least, its soul and fiber seems to be that of a giant enchanted taproot, drinking eternally from the magical, infinite source that is its surrounding arts community.

Unfortunately the space was permanently closed.
