It usually takes a special occasion to stand in the company of a President of the United States, let alone several. Rapid City makes it a bit easier.

Over the course of several blocks in downtown Rapid City, visitors will find a life-sized bronze statue of every President in the history of the United States. A bit eccentric in number, there is no denying the respect and care with which the city has erected these statues.

Know Before You Go

If you stop in at the visitor center first (address listed above), you can pick up a photographic scavenger hunt. This scavenger hunt involves visiting each statue and finding a small detail depicted in the photographs. It is not as easy as it first seems. If you are a child and bring your correct, completed scavenger hunt back to the visitor center, your reward is a free ice cream cone. If you are an adult and bring back the completed scavenger hunt, your reward is a working knowledge of every business location in Rapid City. Plan on about two hours to hit every street corner. The walk is a loop.
