In Jaipur, an impressive wall proudly overlooks the Amber Fort, historically protecting it from the invasion of enemies.
The Jaipur Wall, more correctly known as the Amer Wall or the Great Wall of Amer, stretches for seven miles (12 kilometers) over the ridge of the mountains surrounding the city.
The well was built by the rulers of the city of Amer to defend it from constant invasions.
