About

This hand-painted home is known for its Van Gogh details and heartfelt origins.

In 2017, the homeowners had their property’s side wall painted with Van Gogh’s signature “Starry Night.” The painting is a favorite of their autistic son, and they had the artwork added to help guide him home if he got lost.

After receiving pushback and fines from the city to remove the initial mural, the owners doubled down on the artistic theme and started adding Van Gogh details to their home’s exterior walls as well.

The following years saw legal battles in which the homeowners won the right to keep their property’s artistic details. It recently received fresh coats of paint that have kept the murals vibrant.

Many locals celebrate the Van Gogh house’s heart, symbolism, and art. Today, the murals wrap around the entire home. Exterior walls, the garage, property wall, and support columns are all painted to match the theme.
