Joined Atlas Obscura in 2021

I'm a cultural anthropologist (MA NUI Maynooth, Ireland), Irish accredited tourist guide. Current fixations include following ongoing developments in the Song of Ice and Fire franchise, Frank Herbert's Dune series, Greco-Egyptian thought e.g the traditional astrology of Claudius Ptolemy and Vettius Valens and googling Nabataean aesthetics. Favourite place I've every visited - Skellig Michael island, Co. Kerry, Ireland or Petra, Jordan.
