Scott Klinger

Joined Atlas Obscura in 2022

I'm a photographer, artist, and educator based in the American West. My work has been exhibited in galleries and film festivals around the world for more than 20 years and is held in the collection of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan. When I’m not exploring the vast expanses of the American West, I’ve recently traveled to photograph the northern lights in wintertime Lapland, Maya ruins in Mexico, Honduras, and Belize, and make portraits of nighttime denizens of Shinjuku in Tokyo and Palenqueras in Cartagena.
