Joined Atlas Obscura in 2019

A Canadian American who lives life as a balance. Andrea has lived in places as far reaching as the deserts of Antarctica and the United Arab Emirates. She has travelled 85 countries to places like the Maldives for leisure and to the Philippines for hard working typhoon relief. Andrea is a well practiced solo traveller to countries like Croatia, Curaçao, and Australia - but also enjoys navigating the globe with good friends and family. She has hunkered down in hostels, camped on a quiet riverbank, and stayed put in five star hotels. Her best trips so far were in New Zealand, Jordan, and Madagascar - and that epic bone-breaking (literally) trek up to Uhuru summit on Kilimanjaro. Her latest accomplishment includes traveling to all the Arab countries outside of Africa.
