Joined Atlas Obscura in 2026

I am a Ph.D.-trained marine biologist pursuing a career in medicine, driven by a fascination with the world’s most remote environments and unanswered questions. My work and adventures have taken me across the globe, from spending three months aboard a conservation vessel in West Africa, where I supported operations in regions threatened by piracy, to conducting field research in South Africa, tracking and tagging Nile crocodiles. Beyond academia, I am a licensed pilot, Master Captain, motorcyclist, and highly trained scuba diver. Whether navigating the ocean, exploring hard-to-reach places, or pushing the boundaries of scientific and medical knowledge, I am motivated by the same goal: to venture beyond the familiar and uncover the mysteries of our world.
