An archaeological and ecological journey into the flooded caves and cenotes of Tulum, Mexico, extraordinary underwater worlds where time, water, and sculpted stone have preserved traces of some of the earliest human presence in the Americas.

Beneath the Caribbean jungle, submerged passages hold evidence of ancient ancestors, extinct megafauna, climate change, and ritual activity, revealing a profound story of migration, memory, adaptation, and survival across thousands of years.

More than a documentary, IMMERSED is a call to discover, understand, and protect one of Mexico’s most extraordinary underground water landscapes: an irreplaceable system of cenotes, aquifers, and flooded caves that safeguards human origins, ancestral memory, biodiversity, and the future of freshwater.
