About

Astana Opera is an architectural symphony of East and West.

Erected in 2013, this theater has become a cultural pearl of the young capital. Its golden hall with national ornaments hides unique acoustics that surpass many European stages.

Here, in one season, you can see Turandot with world stars as well as the premiere of new Kazakh operas.

A highlight is the 50-ton crystal chandelier that changes color to the music. This is a place where the traditions of the steppes meet the opera Olympus.
