About

Casa Navàs in Reus, Spain, is a must-visit for fans of modernist architecture due to its exquisite blend of artistic elements and innovative design. Built by renowned architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the building showcases his mastery of the Catalan Modernisme movement.

Visitors are captivated by the intricate facade adorned with elaborate sculptures and ornamental details, reflecting the era's fascination with nature and symbolism. Inside, the interior features stunning stained glass windows, intricate woodwork, and elegant furnishings, offering a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the early 20th century. Casa Navàs stands as a testament to the ingenuity of Catalan modernist architecture.

One of the most incredible facts about the house is that over 95 percent of the furniture is still original, making it over 100 years old.

Lluís Domènech i Montaner and Antoni Gaudí were significant figures in the Catalan Modernisme movement, which flourished in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. While they shared some similarities in their architectural styles, they also had differences in approach and design philosophy.
