Dinsmore Farm

The Dinsmore Farm is a former homestead converted into a museum. Inside are many of the original furnishings, clothing, china, artwork, and books that decorated the house during the mid-19th century.

When visitors step into the main house, it looks as it did when Julia Dinsmore died in 1926. The museum is filled with stories about the family, tenants, and the enslaved and freedpeople who lived and worked on the farm. Stepping inside this homestead is to venture back to the Antebellum period.  

In each room of the house, there's a death story for visitors to hear. There is also a picturesque graveyard on the hill overlooking the old home.
