About
Over 40 years, architect Alejandro Artucio Urioste assembled this collection of tiles used in Uruguay. In 2004 the collection was donated to the Intendecia de Montevideo and the Department of Culture for enjoyment to all. The collection covers a range of styles, techniques, and motifs spanning centuries and produced across the globe.
Housed in a 1930s Art Deco apartment, this quiet museum covers three floors. Temporary exhibits and activities take place from time to time, but the website is not always up to date.
