About

The Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Museum is tucked away on the second floor of a food hall in downtown Colorado Springs, with just a small sign outside to draw passersby into its rich collection. You'll enter the museum and immediately find yourself surrounded by hundreds of photographs, toys, repair equipment, and, of course, several dozen motorcycles.

With bikes dating back to the 1910s, you can see the evolution of motorcycles, from those driven by couriers and members of the military to touring vehicles and bikes driven simply for the joy of riding.

In addition to showing actual motorcycles, though, the museum tells the stories of the people who create, drive, restore, and love them. There are club colors, kidney belts, and personal histories of men and women who ride. There are decades of oil cans, art and sculptures, and other artifacts from motorcycle history. Although Colorado and the surrounding areas dominate the museum, there are histories from across the United States and around the world.
