There is a well-known statue in Budapest’s City Park that ominously stares at visitors from under a hood.
The sculpture depicts the person (or persons) commonly accredited for the creation of Bitcoin and the first blockchain database that paved the way for cryptocurrency. The pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, has left all to wonder who the true inventors were. The bust adds to this anonymity, as the face is blank and devoid of features.
The plaque on the statue reads:
TRIBUTE TO THE INVENTOR OF BITCOIN THE FIRST PEER-TO-PEER ELECTRONIC CASH SYSTEM AND BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
WE ARE ALL SATOSHI
The statue sits outside the Microsoft offices.
