About

Surrounded by the dense forests of nearby Acadia National Park, in the small town of Trenton, Maine, Timber Tina’s Great Maine Lumberjack Show has been wowing audiences with its high-energy performances for nearly 30 years.

The founder of the show, Tina Scheer, started competitively chopping logs when she was just seven years old. Born in Hayward, Wisconsin, the home of the Lumberjack World Championships, she grew up log rolling with her siblings, and, as she grew older, ax throwing and chopping. When her family founded Scheer’s Lumberjack Show, Tina was a key performer.

Scheer followed the family legacy for 15 years before founding her own logging show in 1996, in Maine. Honoring the state’s rich history as a leader in the logging industry–one of Maine’s nicknames is the Pine Tree State–Scheer’s nightly event showcases competitions in ax throwing, log rolling, cross-cut sawing, pole climbing, and more. Log rolling lessons are also available.

Not only has Scheer performed in logging championships all over the world, from Germany to Australia and beyond, she also has appeared on the National Geographic Channel’s Ultimate Survival Alaska and Survivor: Panama. She came in second place in ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games in 2001.
