The childhood house of Orville and Wilbur Wright is located in West Dayton, Ohio on Hawthorn Street. The house was built in 1909 and was located a block away from the Wright brother's bicycle shop, adjacent to the current location of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park.

Orville Wright was born in the house in 1871, and Wilbur Wright died in the home in 1912. The house is where the brothers began their pursuit of flight, including designing the 1903 Wright Flyer. 

The original house was bought by Henry Ford in 1936 and moved to the Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford Museum outside of Detroit, Michigan. With the house relocated, the only remaining portion of the original home at the site is the front porch and outline showing the room layout of the historical house.
