Rob Bolton is a Lake Chelan-based writer, tinkerer, and lifelong outdoor generalist. After two decades in Seattle, he now lives in Manson, Washington with his wife and son, spending his free time ski touring, hiking, mountain biking badly but enthusiastically, paddling, camping, and exploring odd corners of the Pacific Northwest. He runs beExploring.com, a personal outdoor and travel guide built from trip reports, maps, photos, and local notes. Before landing in Chelan, Rob grew up in Vermont, moved west to be a ski bum at Snoqualmie Pass, and somehow turned an old “webmaster” job title into a long career in technology.
