My name is Emil Gawin, and I was born in 1983 in central Poland. My journey has taken me through diverse creative and professional landscapes, from digital arts to rural farming and public service.
My Creative Journey:
I began my artistic path in 1998 with traditional painting and drawing before discovering my passion for digital media. Since 2005, I've been performing as VJ splasZ, creating live visual performances that blend technology with artistic expression. In 2010, I founded SplaszFX, my motion design company, where I specialize in computer animation, traditional animation, and art direction. I also serve as editor-in-chief of Motionfreaks.pl, a website I created dedicated to motion design, animation, and video post-production.
My Rural Transformation:
Several years ago, I made a life-changing decision to leave urban life behind and embrace rural living. I established "Pasieka Prowincjonalna" (Provincial Apiary), where I've transformed from a 3D graphics specialist into a passionate beekeeper and small-scale farmer. I now manage bee colonies, produce honey and beeswax, breed queen bees, and also raise chickens and rabbits. This transition represents my desire to live closer to nature while maintaining my creative pursuits.
My Public Service:
Currently, I serve as a municipal councilor for Gmina OroĊsko, where I maintain perfect attendance at council sessions and actively participate in local governance. This role allows me to contribute to my community and bridge my diverse experiences in service of local development.
