I make documentaries about the places where people and wild things have been negotiating for centuries. Ten years in China, a decade of field work across Asia and Africa, now based in Amsterdam. Chasing things like: why the Alaskan Malamute is named after a people almost nobody remembers, and how a Nigerian secret society's voice survived the Middle Passage and ended up in Cuban dance music.
