Joined Atlas Obscura in 2026

My husband and I had visited all continents by 2007, and all 50 US states by 2022. We had each visited about half the states and many countries and several continents before we met (we got married in our 40s and travel was a shared interest) . Every spring, we took a trip to a new set of states. It was really fun, we ate some good BBQ, saw plenty of history and landmarks and encountered lots of natural beauty and very nice people.
