Death Under Glass is a collaborative project between forensic pathologist Marianne Hamel MD, PhD and Nikki Johnson MFA, BFA,a forensic photographer, that explores the world of human post-mortem tissue at high magnification. Their images have been shown at art venues and medical museums all over the world and have been featured in "New York" magazine, on NPR's "Science Friday", in Britain's "The Independent" newspaper, and many other publications. They have a special interest in site featuring human anatomic and pathological specimens and their work can be found on Instagram and Threads as @deathunderglass.
