G Thomas White

Joined Atlas Obscura in 2026

Project-governance leader and relentless seeker of hidden wonders— an Atlas Obscura “All 50” finisher. I wrapped up my cross-country quest in the Pacific and Pacific Northwest, ticking off Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii to complete the map. With the exception of Michigan, I have crossed all the state lines by car and in Hawaii by boat! The next time I fly into DTW, I will be renting a car for a short trip south to Windsor for my third US/Canada crossing point. I’m always up for swapping oddball finds, planning the next detour, and helping fellow explorers uncover the strange beauty tucked just off the beaten path.
