Joined Atlas Obscura in 2026

I am a retired military officer who has traveled to 68 countries on 5 continents. My next travel goal is to visit the 2 continents I have not been to, then continue adding more countries. I enjoy going to an area and living among the locals for months at a time. I rarely take guided tours and usually rent cars and explore on my own.
