I'm a freelance science journalist based in Denver and the author of the books "Making Contact: Jill Tarter and the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence" and "They Are Already Here: UFO Culture and Why We See Saucers." My book "Mass Defect: Life in the New Nuclear Age" is forthcoming from Bold Type Books. Most importantly, I like to explore places in the wilderness where humans used to be.
