Joined Atlas Obscura in 2020

Artists Arlo White and Kim Kennedy White founded Hypnotic Turtle in Denver, Colorado in 2004 as a record label. The collective has since grown into a busy art factory producing a weekly radio show (at CU Boulder's Radio 1190 since 2013), curating local art shows, partnering with local venues to promote live music, and supporting the local art and music scene.
