I stopped by Philadelphia's Magic Gardens recently for the first time in well over 10 years. The fully mosaic wonderland feels like stepping into another world. Every centimeter of space contains another colorful discovery. I had always considered it an essential stop to any tourist to the city, but I hadn't thought to go again on my own. Now, I can't wait to go back; to see how the pottery changes in the different seasons, at sunset, or even after dark. It feels like an honor to live in a city with interactive art--a living mural you can step inside and admire up close. All around me guests were ooo-ing and awe-ing, and I was doing the same, mouth open, turning my head at unnatural angles to see what was happening above me, atop the stairs, on the roof. Philadelphia loves art, and the Magic Gardens are a wonderous example of that. This post is short, but that's because the gardens are best seen to be believed.
