About

Nothing at HOPE Outdoor Gallery is meant to stay the same, but in November 2025 the iconic Austin graffiti park came back with a bigger, more permanent home of its own. After the original Castle Hill location closed in 2019 to make way for condominium development, the nonprofit-run art space reopened on November 28, 2025 at a sprawling new 17- to 18-acre site near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Dalton Lane.

Spray-painted walls, giant murals, and layered tags fill the open-air park, inviting both seasoned artists and curious visitors to leave their mark on surfaces that are meant to be repainted again and again. The new campus preserves that freewheeling spirit while adding amenities that give the space more structure. There’s a 6,000-square-foot indoor gallery and event space, outdoor mural walls, a cafe and rooftop bar, an art supply shop, and room for community programming and local vendors.

Much of the energy that made the original location legendary lives on, but now with room to breathe. More than 30 contributing artists have already helped cover the walls with new work, and walk-up paint areas remain open to anyone who wants to tag a wall or try something bold.

Free and open to all ages, the revitalized HOPE Outdoor Gallery feels like both a revival and a reinvention. It honors the DIY ethos of its predecessor while building toward a broader cultural hub where art, community, and creativity intersect in ways that are familiar and entirely fresh.
