About

Hummingbirds belong to the family Trochilidae, the second-largest in the world. While they can be found throughout the Americas, the highest concentration of hummingbirds can be found in South and Central America, especially the Peruvian Andes. There are 124 known hummingbird species in Peru, 14 of which are endemic (found only in Peru).

Jardín de Picaflores Inkamazonia is a beautiful place where you can observe more than 30 species of hummingbirds. Birds spotted at this garden include the sparkling violetear (Colibri coruscans), the black-eared fairy (Heliothryx auritus), the long-billed starthroat (Heliomaster longirostris), and more. Although it is a private backyard, there are feeders where all kinds of birds fly in. Monkeys can also be seen in the area. In addition, there is also an orchid alley. This place is a pure magic.
