About
This mill features original Victorian textile machinery, dating back to the 1890s. These heritage machines were likely powered by steam engines or water wheels in their heyday. After a meticulous three-year restoration, they have been returned to full working order and now visitors can see them in action, crafting knitwear.
The owner is exceptionally knowledgeable about the design and operation of the equipment and is currently working on converting the shop to run on steam power generated by solar energy. Be sure to stop by and experience the mesmerizing display of these historic machines in action — and don’t miss the opportunity to purchase beautifully crafted knitwear made right on-site using the very same machinery.

My partner’s sister brought us here on a whim and, as an engineer, I was blown away by the quality of the display. The owner is a nuclear engineer pursuing a passion in old knitting machinery, and knew every bit of the machines’ operation. I’ve seen machines like this before, but never functioning in person as most museums can’t support the maintenance needs. This place is special.
