This now abandoned mansion was built in 1912, designed by Cuban-born architect Manuel de Busto in an elaborate, Indian-inspired style.  The home was built by tobacco merchant Manuel Mendez de Andes for his family. 

Update February 2018: The property is now being modernized and refurbished. The main external and upper structures have been cleaned and renewed. Crane, building equipment and workers there regularly.
