Constance Scharff, PhD, is an explorer, anthropologist, and expedition writer who travels to some of the world's most remote communities in search of the stories that rarely make headlines. As founder and principal investigator of The Human Resilience Project, she leads global expeditions exploring how Indigenous peoples adapt to climate change, conflict, and environmental extremes. Carrying both an Explorers Club flag and Rolex watch on recent expeditions in Kenya, New Zealand, and remote Alaska, her work combines boots-on-the-ground reporting with scientific research to uncover remarkable traditions of resilience, bringing overlooked people, places, and knowledge to readers through immersive storytelling.
