Joined Atlas Obscura in 2019

Born in Idaho, I learned to love it's scenic beauty. From my father's WW ii experiences and his photos of the Italy's people, architecture, and countryside, I developed a love of history, geography, travel and photography to capture it all. I taught history and geography for many years and formed my own photography business. My wife and I have traveled extensively.
