Mothmeister is the ever-shifting alter ego of two enigmatic artistic soulmates, cloaked in the mists of Belgium — the land where surrealism first took root. From the shadows of their imagination, they conjure eerie, Post-Mortem Fairy Tales inhabited by masked and macabre beings, each more haunting than the last. These spectral figures often appear alongside taxidermied creatures and arcane relics from their private trove of curiosities. Echoing the somber rituals of the Victorian era, when the dead were tenderly captured in photographs as memento mori, Mothmeister breathes a new, unsettling life into the forgotten and the forsaken — crafting a dark, dystopian dreamscape where beauty and decay are forever entwined.
