Joined Atlas Obscura in 2021

I am a retired professor of communication who taught for 20-plus years, including a full-time position at Wilberforce University in Ohio. I still work part-time as a journalist. My news and feature articles have been published by the Chicago Sun-Times, Tampa Bay Times, Dayton Daily News, Winston-Salem Journal, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Pikes Peak Senior News, etc.. I am also a contributing editor of Wikipedia, Google Maps, WikiHow.com, etc. One of my hobbies is to create online memorials for individuals who lead interesting and meaningful lives, but were not recognized during their life and are in danger of being forgotten.
