It was a pleasure to chat with Atlas Obscura about my trip across Bhutan! What sticks out in my memories of this trip are the beautiful and dramatic Himalayan mountains, the welcoming people I met, the unique approach this country has to preserving its culture and environment, and the ways that Buddhism is woven into everyday life. It was a privilege to get to visit, and I hope I get to go back someday.
