Robert Louis DeMayo is an author, speaker, and lifelong explorer whose work blends travel, history, and storytelling. A former biomedical engineer, he turned to writing at twenty and went on to travel widely, crossing many countries and gathering the experiences that shaped his novels and travel writing. He has written extensively on adventure, Southwest legends, and global journeys, and his books have earned national recognition.
DeMayo is a longtime member of The Explorers Club and serves as Chair of its Southwest Chapter. Based in Arizona, he continues to write, speak, and develop projects that connect place, culture, and narrative. His work reflects a deep interest in exploration, conservation, and the human stories found in extraordinary landscapes.
