My name is Shahzoda Pardabayeva, and I was born in 2005 in the heart of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Growing up on a street lined with centuries-old trees, just steps from the iconic Amir Temur Square, I was surrounded by history every day. My playground wasn't just a park—it was a living museum where the echoes of the Silk Road felt tangible. This unique upbringing instilled in me a deep passion for my country's heritage, a passion I've dedicated my professional life to sharing with the world.
My formal journey in tourism began in the summer of 2022 while I was still completing my education. I joined "Aba Travel Tashkent" as a junior tour guide, assisting senior guides on city tours. I quickly realized that my genuine enthusiasm for Tashkent's architecture and stories resonated deeply with visitors. In 2023, I launched my first independent project, "Echoes of the Avant-Garde," a specialized walking tour focusing on the city's unique 20th-century modernist architecture—from the iconic Hotel Uzbekistan to the brutalism of Chorsu Bazaar. This niche topic attracted travelers seeking history beyond ancient sites.
In early 2024, I was recruited by the Uzbekistan Tourism Promotional Board as a Tourism Promoter. My focus shifted from guiding individuals to inspiring broader audiences at major international travel fairs, including a memorable event in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The highlight was creating a viral social media campaign titled "24 Hours in Tashkent: A Local's Guide." The video series, which I scripted and starred in, showcased hidden tea houses, underground art galleries, and family-run ceramic studios. It was viewed over 500,000 times and led to a noticeable increase in inquiries from independent travelers.
Currently, I work as a Social Tourism Activist, combining my profession with my passion. In 2025, I founded "Tashkent for All," organizing free heritage walks for underprivileged students and retired citizens from the Fergana Valley. Seeing the wonder in their eyes as they discover their own capital city is profoundly rewarding. I believe tourism builds bridges of understanding between cultures. Every day, I strive to be that warm, welcoming bridge between my vibrant ancient culture and the curious travelers who come to experience it.
