A few times a year at Atlas Obscura, we get the day off to explore something new; We call it Obscura Day. I happened to be on Cape Cod with my husband and kids, so we explored a new park in Wellfleet we’ve always been curious about. We were not disappointed. Teeming with wildlife and natural wonders around every curve, Hamblen Island proved to be a true hidden gem. The alluring history and scenic beauty of Uncle Tim’s Bridge drew us to this spot, but what we discovered on the other side within this quiet wonderland took my breath away.
