Is this is the narrowest house frontage in the world? It is said to be the narrowest in the United Kingdom. It seems hard to tell how narrow the inside of the house is without going in, but the front definitely looks very slim when you see it from the street, as apparently it’s only 47 inches (1.2 meters) wide.
Back in 2015 the house was up for sale, with starting offers at £85,000 (about $115,000), and the listing stated that the Wedge nickname comes from its cheese-like shape, as the thin frontage gives way to a wider interior. The floor plan seems to be triangular. The BBC reported that the largest interior space measures 11 feet wide (3.35 meters).
It lost its Guinness World Record title in 2012 to a house in Poland, but the Wedge was eventually sold in 2022 for £59,500 (about $80,000).
