About
Most musea focus on a single topic or country, with only very few showing a broad spread of items from across the world. This is what makes the UN art collection unique, as it displays items from all member states.
The united nations building in Geneva is host to a large amount of unique art pieces donated by it's member states, ranging from paintings to the decor of entire rooms. These items often represent some aspect of the country, be it cultural, historical, or made by the hand of an influential person.
Typically there can only be one item per country, and such item is donated in a specific way following the UN protocol.
Know Before You Go
Most of the collection can be seen during a tour of the UN building, which should be booked in advance.
